Gunsmithing Rechamber reloading dies?

[AR-10 Shooter]

I have a set of RCBS .270 small base dies. Can these dies be rechambered for another caliber? Just a thought.

I think the sizing dies may be surface hardened.

Can you cut them with a file?

Surely a rechamber costs as much or more than new dies.

Each die will need work, a new expander.

Just buy new dies.

Harder than a landlord's heart. They'll have to be annealed then chambered, then re-hardened. Sell them and buy what you need. JMHO
