Saw this video on youtube and thought it was a pretty neat side by side comparison of the old teaching vs the new.

Shooting starts about 6:30.



It looks like Gunny changes his position after getting scope bite.

He didn't put the rifle in his shoulder for his first shot. His scope bite didn't have a lot to do with body position.

I shoot both ways. There's not a whole lot of difference if you know how to do both.

I wasn't suggesting that the scope bit was from the position. Simply an observation.
