Hi All,
Hope you doing great ! I am looking to buy a borescope, which I can use to inspect the barrells of my wide gun collection as well as shoot some videos/images for my youtube channel. If you have used borescopes, can you please share you experience with them? Any recommended Borescopes based on your experience and also my needs? Am flexible on budget, but as common sense dictates, would like to 'buy once cry once', while getting best 'bang for the buck'.

thanks for your time and assistance with my search !

Will second the rigid model with display. The larger diameter mirror kit is nice if have anything over 6.5mm.

Just don't drive yourself nuts with what you see, most factory barrels look like crap.

The only downside I’ve found to the Teslong (I have the flexible version and would recommend it, harder to break) is that the light sometimes washes out details, esp when the bore is shiny. You can adjust the light brightness, but the camera automatically adjusts along with it so you get the same picture.

Nonetheless, still a fantastic value.

One of the things you can do when that happens is adjust the mirror a little bit farther or not use the built in LED light but instead put a flashlight at the end of the muzzle at an angle.

Screwing the mirror out, or in, on mine did wonderful things to clarify the view.
It's not a focus issue I'm describing, it's an exposure/ISO issue. If there was a way to manually control the camera settings using a computer app, it'd address the problem. That said, it's not a huge issue, you can see almost everything even when the light is too bright on a surface.

Thanks everyone for the detailed thoughts and sharing your experiences. I bought the Teslong rigid with dedicated display. One question I have is, that there is a hawkeye version which is multiple times more expensive. From my layman research, I could not find a reason why I should buy a hawkeye at such a premium. I am sure it is a better system/camera, but does the extra features justify such a high premium? Just looking for thoughts from someone who might have used both teslong and hawkeye. thanks again !

The Hawkeyes I believe to be made by free people not slave labor.

I think the Hawkeyes also works off of optical lenses and focusing in a traditional "scope" manner.

There is some engineering required to minitiarize the optical parts.

I may be in error, I have the scope in mind that comes in the lined case, looks like a doctors instrument.
