Hi folks. I'm wanting an Accu-Tac bipod. Rifle is an AI AX in .300 Norma Mag, going out to a mile. What Accu-Tac model is recommended for this? I'm thinking a WB-5 or FC-5. Opinions welcome and any pics a bonus. Thanks in advance.

I use the wb-5 awesome bipod. I had there new lp-50 bupod for a little had to send it back that thing is awesome wide foot print. If your shooting something like elr light class the lp-50 would be good. Shooting something like the nightforce challenge I think the wb-5 would be better.

I recently switched to the rrs rlok arca with my foundation and works amazing no slippage but if I didn't have that system I would go back to pic rail even accutac told me they didn't recommend there arca head for 300 norma.

I have seen Accutac's ARCA head, and it is not what I would use for a large magnum caliber.

Accutac also makes a model called 17S SPEC-4 BIPOD and a taller 17S SPEC-5 BIPOD. I just ordered one to try. These models can be paired with the RRS SC-ARC Bipod Clamp. I use this clamp on a Ckye Pod with my AXMC in 338 LM. It is a solid connection. I will use this clamp with the Accutac when it shows up, and I have no doubt it will be solid.

My Accutac one never moves, the CKYEPOD Arca I check every stage and it slides around a fair bit.

When I put that Accutac on my 375 I did put a small Socket head cap screw in the rail to prevent it from ever sliding off. It's never been an issue but now it can't come off under recoil.

Good to know

I agree that the Ckye Pod Arca is not great either. I have switched both Ckye Pod Arca mounts to RRS since I can use them on other rifles with pic rails. The RRS is much better, but it costs some cash as well
