I have a AR scoped for coyotes and critters. I need to swap it over to combat rifle and need a red dot for close quarter combat. Recommend me a good bang for the bucks reasonable priced scope , please.

You did not say how much so reasonably priced to me is as follows. The 1x8 Razor, that's what I use on my 16" 08. Or maybe an Aimpoint COMP4 with a 6x magnifier. Have that on my 12" 08. To me reasonable it to buy once not several times. Heck the COMP4 was on an 08 that blew up. So good to go in my opinion.

The Aimpoint PRO brings an incredible value to the table. I have one on each of my rifles. If you can't find one in the current buying environment, I have a LNIB extra I can part with.

I am talking about thugs come to my house type close quarters . I want good eye relief and quick accusation Considering a lower priced scope like sig or vortex. Maybe after I am more failure with red dot I can see the need for better scopes.

I have two Sig Romeo 5 red dots on range toys and they serve very well. But given a choice I’ll grab the AR wearing the Aim point PRO for anything serious.

I only buy Aimpoints anymore.
Are there cheaper options that may be about as good? Probably. But I certainly don't loose any sleep at night wondering if my red dots have had enough of a chance to prove that they work under some of the most extreme conditions and abuse.

Lower priced isn’t always nice

And might want to re-think what your posting here...

I can tell you that the Aimpoint T-2 and EOTech are great combat scopes, I just took off an ACOG on my Nemo Arms and put on an EOTech xsp2-0 green and it is the fastest tracking rifle I have ever had. You can't go wrong with either one.

Thanks for the rough up and slap in the face to bring me back to reality. I know you guys are right as I have been sorry before trying to cheap out. Buy once is so true.

I run "cheaper" optics on my non essential guns, and I've been very happy with my choices.

I run a Burris Fastfire 2 on my Ruger MKIV pistol, I run a Primary Arms SLx Red dot on my .357 lever gun and really, really like that optic. For the money its my favorite budget optic. I've been hearing great reviews from some of the optics and scopes that Primary Arms has been coming out with.

I've been pondering about putting the Holosun 507k on my P365XL carry gun and it has great reviews at only $275-$300.

Keep in mind...you're not in combat. One of the main reasons Aimpoint and Eotech are combat optics is because of their durability in extreme conditions, but that doesn't mean other lower priced optics aren't just as reliable. You can still find great, reliable optics for a lower price point. And Aimpoints and EOtechs both can break or go out, or not work. We had plenty of optic issues overseas...albeit not many compared to how we treated them lol.

I'd say it also comes down to how you train with the specific rifle you're using for HD. If that specific rifle sits in the house, and you use a different rifle to do most of your training with then maybe you don't need a combat optic on your HD gun. If you train like a raped banshee in all weather conditions, then ya maybe the more expensive optic is worth it. I also don't lose sleep over not running an expensive ass optic, so as anything, get what you feel comfortable with
