Here's the real reality on gunsmithing. I've been trying to get my 17 year old son to work in the shop with me for two years to learn the trade, but he says its too boring. So, recently he informs me he applied at Arby's... No shit. So, his hardest task would be asking someone if they want horsey suace or Arby's sauce and if they want to add a turnover to thier order...
Then I'm at Cabela's talking with my buddy, a retired SF E8 and we happen to overhear a customer come up to the gun counter and ask for an RJF piston AR, because that what's the Army is going to go with. I was going to just ignore it when the counter guy says "ya, thats what I herd too" Both, got an education on the current process which is underway with PM Soldier Weapons, my humble opinion of RJF, and not to belive everything thet see on TV.
Then to top it off, I see the preview of the next episode which has the daughter saying something to the effect that everyone is always trying to dethrone the king. Will Hayden...
Really... the king? I've been in the business for 30+ years and never heared of them prior to the show. They didnt have a booth at the SHOT Show this year, or any year in the past. I am told this year there were over 1600 exhibitors and 630,000 net square feet of show space full of real firearms manufaturers and Will Haden is "our King"? What kind of a sick twisted alternate reality do these RJF clowns live in?
Anyway, tell your daughters boyfriend I'm looking for shop help. He can come get all the cool he wants.
