If Johnstown, PA is in your limit, how about Lewistown, PA. BHTC runs matches at MCSA a few times a year. It's a nice range, and BHTC do a great job of putting on a match there.
The matches are not regular, as in monthly, but there are about 3 matches a year.

thats 5 hours, if its a good match, i would think about it, but a tad far

Reade has 3 tactical matches a year... Usually, May, August, and either Sept or Oct for the 3rd match...

Isn't Briar Rabbits Tacticl/Sniper matches only out to something like 200 or 300 yards at most?

Ring - I make the trip to Lewistown, just under 5 hours for me, and it is worth it for me. I'd love to not have to travel that far, but there just isn't anything closer. Freddy and Mike make it a rewarding trip. So while I regret the drive, I gladly make it.
There are some Ohio guys that make the trip, maybe you can car pool?

If you are willing to drive into PA as far as Lewistown, check out Wolf Precision, he is a smith and runs matches and training. He built by buddies rifle, all good things.
