I need to have a barrel cut down and a QD mount/brake installed on a rem 700 and would really like some opinions on where to send it. Turn around needs to be less than 3 weeks. Quality of course is my top concern. The gun as it sits is satisfyingly accurate and I would be extremely disappointed if I got it back and couldn't work up a load to match or beat what it can do currently.

Right now I'm looking at ADCO because their prices seem fair and turn around time is 10 days or less (and all reviews are positive but mainly concerning AR15'S). I'm obviously not sure, that's why I was hoping to get advice from some of y'all who know what's what.

I would certainly appreciate any help in this matter.

Thanks guys for the advice!

I've heard nothing but good reviews from Longriflesinc (along with positive experience with them in the past) and SAC builds some of my favorite (looking) rifles from pics they and owner's have posted, something about them is just.... right.. I can't explain it.

Coincidentally I've scoured both of their websites before I posted this thread today and found no general turn around time or price list for that matter, planning to contact both Monday. However, now that I've gotten some advice from y'all, my personal concerns have been mildly subdued. Ive worked hard to get er to shoot as well as she does, hate to modify (it or as my father says "mordify" it) but, fingers crossed, by November I'll be a suppressor owner and it'll be a "less obnoxious shooter".

Thanks again, god bless.

Sent my 260 to Chad for the same thing, plus install the barrel (AAC prefit barrel) and it was out of his shop and headed back home in 2 days.

The LRI crew is top notch and deliver outstanding work.

All of the above "smiths" do quality work and provide excellent service. Just to expand your options, give Keith at Phoenix Custom Rifles a call.
