Sorry if this is the wrong place for this but I am have to move my reloading from the basement to the main floor. Unfortunately the floor in the room is not level. It is a rental house so not much I can do to the floor. I see a lot of the benches pictured that have leveling feet. Where can I find these leveling feet and how hard are they to install into wooden 4x4's? Right now I am trying to use wood and cardboard as shims to get everything level but I want something better. Any suggestions and pictures would be appreciated.

Lowes or Home Depot. Or online at the cabinet makers sites. Get the biggest/ sturdiest they have. Another cheap easy fix, is to level the table, then screw a short piece of 1X4to the outside of the4X4, so it rests on the floor, and replaces the shims, which always slip around. A 6-8in. Piece will do. To do the leveling feet, you have to flip the table on it's top, and drill holes into the 4X4s, for the center bolt to"adjust"up into. Not that hard. Get the largest foot you can, so they don't scratch the floor, or get some "furniture coasters", to put under the feet. Good luck.

I tack welded a 1/2" nut onto a piece of flat steel with a hole drilled through it (you'll find something you can use at the home improvement store where all the straps for trusses and joist hangers are), drilled a hole in the leg of the bench, then screwed the plate to the leg. Insert a 1/2" carriage bolt, and you can adjust it with an open-end wrench on the square part of the shank just above the bolt's head. It's much cheaper and sturdier than the feet you can buy.

I welded mine all the way around because I intend to invert them, but leaving the nut on the bottom tacked will be stronger.
