Search Nazis. In the wire. Instead of giving an answer, they find it easier to pound a noob on the head. Oh, and the "This has been disussed quite a bit" business is useless to a new guy who just came for some information and doesnt' have a clue what has been discussed, what has not been discussed, and then has to scracth his head wondering "WTF is up with these guys who can't answer a straight question?" Like this:

FOTIS: you and I will be developing loads together, it seems. Retumbo seems to be the powder of choice, starting a 133 grains and working up from there. Best I can give you right now, but there's the start. I'll bookmark you and let you know what I find when I start shooting and let all the other Nazis FECKING SEARCH FOR IT THEMSELVES.

Re: Reloading for the 375 Cheytac?

If it wasn't for people asking and answering questions, this site would not exist. I am having an improved version of the 375 built as we speak. I don't have any hands on, but I plan on using the 350 SMK's with Jamison brass, Retumbo, and CCI 250's. I know there are better bullets, but for the price I will try these for now. I'd sure like to see some heavy 375 Amaxes or Bergers come out!

Re: Reloading for the 375 Cheytac?

Fotis,

I don't have a lot of experience with mine yet since I've only owned it for a few months. I have been using Jamison cases, Fed 215 primers, 350 Grain SMK's. I started with 135.0 grains of Retumbo. This chronographed at 3120 fps. I have worked up and shot loads up to 138.0 grains with the SMK. I had no noticeable pressure up to 138.0 grains, but my chrono battery ran out so I didn't chrono anything but the 135.0 grain load. Still working on finding the accuracry node. I would think 135.0 grains would be a safe place to start but better to err on the cautious side with the 375 Cheytac! Good luck. It is an awesome round. Search function has been somewhat useless to me as well. The google function works pretty well, and Im sure you could find more information there.

Hoooyah!

Re: Reloading for the 375 Cheytac?

Guys i have been shooting the 370 grain Rocky Mountain Hunting bullets in mine. I load the Retumbo at 132 grains and getting 3170 with these bullets toaching the lands. Guys this is a awsome round and really shows out past 1000 yards with its knock down power on game animals..So the heavier bullets are where its at.
