The local shop has a stainless 40X marked 7.62 NATO and with what look like proof testing marks near the lug.
Remington is not engraved or stamped on the tube.
The barrel seems to be heavier than Sendero in contour.
It has holes at the muzzle end(front sight) and mid barrel as well as a clip slotted action.
It appears to be sitting in a grey stone finish 40X McMillan with cheek riser and adjustable LOP(didn't check out the butt closely)
Does this sound representative of a factory 40X?
