Rem 700 sa with reverse mounted offset rail?

Can anyone tell me if this will work? Mounting a thermal. It works on a ruger american but they have 70 deg throw not 90 like the rem 700. Here is a pic showing exactly what I mean:

If you can still fully manipulate the bolt and the mount is still rigid, then it works!

Post a pic of something dead after the weekend!

Much easier to operate a set up like that with your left eye & chin on or just over the stock on the right side. Same way we used PVS 2's & 4's long ago on M14's & M16's Takes about 1-3 minutes to get accustomed to it and to me much, much quicker mounting.

Just wondering if the bolt handle will run into the rail on a 700 action

The pic is of my ruger ranch, but I was getting less than ideal accuracy of about 1.5-2 moa. Could easily have been the thermal or my shooting or bad match of ammo I guess. Just toying with the idea of a 700 or probably going back to my AR.

Take it to a gun store and see if they will let you test fit it on a used 700?

Correct. Lacks just enough rotation for the lugs to clear.
