I finally got this rifle completed and first trip to the range. Its a stock 700 SPS Varmint 308 that I bedded in a Bell and Carlson Tactical Medalist stock. Its has a 20 MOA mount with a SS 10x42 MQ Mil/Mil scope sitting in Burris XTR rings. After getting it all put together I decided that I needed a Karsten Cheek piece to get a real good cheek weld. The target below was shot after a modified barrel break in of 30 rounds and a 100 yard zero. This is the first 5 shot group fired out of this rifle and it was shot at 105 yards with the Federal Gold Medal Match 175g 7.62x51 rounds (not .308 marked box) It looks to be about a 3/4 inch group. I think this will get better after a few more rounds fired and once I get some reloads figured out for this one. Also going to try some 168g SMK to see if she likes them a little better.
