hey guys i was just wondering how to go about changing the barrel on my 700p from the heavy barrel to the bigger bull barrel. who would i need to contact and what is the cost for this change.

just trying to get as much accuracy out of my rifle as possible and the bull barrel will stabilize the rifle a little better

Are you talking about changing the factory barrel to a factory bull barrel or to a match barrel with a bull profile?

yes just a factory bull barrel it is hard enough to buy factory ammo let alone match ammunition.

why change from one factory barrel to another factory barrel???? Might try some match ammo, its gonna shoot better for you

a blank of any worth is 300.00 plus
then, chamber and crown job another 175.00 plus
....prolly ought to think about a brake.....add another 200.00 give or take
hopefully the gunplumber got a nice reamer.....and knows what he is doing

With a match barrel you are gonna get an improvement. With another factory barrel I really doubt your gonna see any difference at all in accuracy. I wouldn't waste my time getting it re-barreled with a factory barrel. How well is it shooting now? If your not shooting match ammo I would try that first.

there are ways to shrink the groups....but 1st, complete your profile

you know the usual stuff like email addy and where yur AO is.....maybe .....maybe another hide member is nearby and can be a valuable reference.......

ok my home state is northern p.a. i dont use my email, joined the marine corps in 1996 got out in 2000,mos 0311 4yrs. active duty.just a average hunter who wants to improve his shooting ability. feel free to pm. me if you like.
