Rem 725 trigger replacement

I recently purchased a model 725 in .243. The trigger has been replaced with a trigger tech 700 which has changed the safety mechanism for this gun. Have anyone ever heard of this being done?

Also I would like to look into getting a different stock for the rifle. Since it now has a 700 style trigger/safety should I be able to just order a stock made for a 700?

I have replaced the trigger on one with a modern rig . I believe I put the old safety back in due to it acting as a pin . Memory fails me on the fine details . I am not 100 percent certain but I think it will fit a 700 stock . I think the safety on the 725 prevented me from being able to fully check that the inletting was the same .
