To me the debate looked like a bunch of entrenched politicians repeating talking points that had been hashed and rehashed repeatedly. One guy had a different outlook and spoke up about what I considered to be some of the important problems that the country had. Ridiculed as an inexperienced know nothing outsider by the rest he hung in and made his points. No way he has a chance in Hell but I'm happy he was there because I believed his persistence would force the other candidates to address these problems none of them even wanted to talk about.
I was wrong. None of the other candidates did address these "problems". But the know nothing outsider didn't go away. He kept making his points. Over and over.
I voted. He won. It was 2015.
