Shoots great...though it likes the brass to be at 1.335...loads for my contender at 1.355 makes for a stiff bolt close....

I've wondered for a while if you could use a Trident 9 for use on a dedicated suppressed .308 setup. Is this possible or is there a risk due to pressure on the .308 (subsonic loads ONLY)?

Not sure...works fine on the Whisper and dont know what if any difference would be the case with a sub 308....

I really like my whisper, great fun.


I've had good luck with 8.7 grains of #9 over a 220-SMK (about 1050.)

Have a friend watch a 200-yard target through a spotter while you shoot, it's funny as hell to watch the round rainbow in on target.

You can use a trident on a dedicated subsonic .30cal....

I mean what's the real difference between a subsonic .300 whisper and a subsonic loaded .308 at the muzzle? Same projectile pushing same speed...
