Remington 540X?

There's only a couple of hours left, but I figured I'd see if anyone was up early and had an opinion on the Remington 540X. There's one on Gunbroker that's a reasonable drive from my house and the price looks good:

I'm trying to stay around $600 for a decent target rifle and this one looks like it would be a good fit.

Anyone have info on these?

It looks pretty good to me but I’m a Remington guy. I’d probably see how it shoots with the old barrel and stock and go from there. I’d save all of the old original stuff but that’s just me. You could probably sell it on fleabay and get most of your money back. Enjoy your new rifle

A fella shoots one at my longrange matches and a few other disciplines and he always places very high up even against a few V-guns and other top level equipment. He's shooting Polar Biathalon and it really likes it.
