Remington 700 5R MilSpec .300 WM - Barrel Contour?

Morning All,

Just had a quick question regarding barrel contour... Is there any way to work out what the actual contour is on my barrel (eg: #7 Contour), or does anybody know of the top of their head what the contour is on the Rem 700 5R MilSpec .300 WM 26" barrel?

Reason I'm asking is I want to put a Manners T5A Stock on the rifle, and when ordering I have to choose from one of the following:

Remington Factory BDL Hunting Barrel
Remington Factory Sendero/Varmint
M-24 Contour
#7 Contour (for example)
etc...

Any help would be appreciated. Cheers

You want the Remington Factory Sendero/Varmint contour. The M-24 contour is larger. Here's a link to Douglas, they have most of the Remington stock barrel dimensions on the website if you want to confirm with calipers and measuring tape.

Not trying to make this difficult, but I have a .308 with a varmint contour barrel in a M24 channel and like it. I did so as I thought there may be a barrel change in the future to a larger contour. You know your future better than I and your preference, but it's something to consider.
