I was curious to what the opinions are on the remington 700 sendero. I was looking at the 7mm rem mag and it would be used for hunting and some target shooting behind the house out to about 700 yds. Not worried about the weight that is not really a concern at this time. Thanks for any advice on this rifle.

I had one(7mag)for several years. It shot .5 moa-.7moa with handloads. For a hunting rifle I think it would be a solid choice. I used mine for coyote work with a 100gr hornady. It gave spectacular terminal performance. It could push the 100gr bullets just under 3700fps. I always loaded to the book oal so more accuracy could be had if the magazine would allow a longer oal(over all length). I didn't have the tools at that time to achieve better reloads.

I have one in 300WM. I don't shoot groups often but during load development the ones I chose were in the 0.4-0.7in range consistently. This is with 200SMK and ABs. Surprisingly 110gr Vmax's a mile off the lands shoot 0.7-0.8in consistently.
I've shot all sorts of big game with the rifle out to 700 yds. It's never let me down. I'm not a fan of the factory trigger (this one had the old style), but a Kepplinger set trigger fixed that.

I have 2 Senderos. A 300 WM and a 7mm Rem Mag. and both are great shooters. I handload and use them for target and hunting. For the price they are a steal in my humble opinion. Put a break on it if you can it helps.

Always heard good thigns about them. I just picked upa used 300wm that I am tearing down for a build. Trying to decide on whose barrel to use.

I bought the Sendero II, chambered in the 300rum. What a rifle. It shoots bug holes as long as I do my part. I had a brake installed, badger bolt, bedded and trigger adjusted to 1.5 lbs. I would love to buy a second. I was wanting the 300wm but no one had it in stock. I went the 300rum only because of bullet choice. The barrel life will be longer with the 7mm I think.

You can't go wrong with the Sendero in 7mm. I've had mine since 98' and absolutely love it. Easily a .5 moa rifle with handloads. Factory Hornady heavy magnum rounds before I reloaded was .7-.9. Making consistent hits at 700yds shouldn't be a problem for the rifle.

I got one in 264 win mag and it shoots under 1/2 moa all day log bone stock

Just bought a sendero II 300 rum and love it so far. I don't really have a lot of experience in long range shooting but do know a little, mostly I bought it for hunting. My rifle shoots .5 or slightly better at 100 meters with remington scirocco factory loads and everything else is stock for now, haven't had a chance to work up any handloads yet. The rifle is heavy but that's the way I wanted it, everything about this rifle is awsome so far. I don't think anybody can go wrong with one of these rifles.

That looks like a great set up you have their 300 is a real banger you need the weight if you dont like a break i also like the scope choise

The break really tamed down the recoil. I would like to knock off the butt pad and mix up some epoxy resin and add about 2 lbs. of lead shot just to get a tad more weight. I would like to get a load up for some 220g SMK's
Remington glues on the recoil pads for some reason. A bitch to take off. I read up on it and they say to put the stock in a freezer for 6-8 hours then take a blunt chisel on the hard plastic of the pad and with a hammer give it a blow, should pop off.

I guess I'm odd man out on two accounts. The first one being mine is not a 7 mag or 300. It is chambered in 25-06 and it won't shoot a group regardless of the ammo. Love the gun but I can't really finacially justify pouring more money into a Remington hunting rifle. Just my 2 cents....

I had one of the Senderos in .300 Win Mag when they first came out. Shot like it should have cost A LOT more than what it did.

Are you hand loading? If not, you should try. in a 25-06 that should be a real shooter.

Are you hand loading? If not, you should try. in a 25-06 that should be a real shooter.
