I’ve been looking at triggers lately. Which make and model is the best option for a factory early model 5R? I’ve read reviews of TriggerTech and Geissele.

Thanks!

Timney, bix & andy, jewel, and about 100 others.

There is no best. There is only what is good enough for your tastes and wallet. Like TT, a primary will get you 90% there, but double the money for the diamond and you may or may not appreciate the primary anymore.

I'm a big fan of the Timney CE 2 stage, but if I ever finish this rifle sitting on my bench I'm going to try the bix & andy 2 stage.

I prefer to run a 1-1.5# trigger and really am liking the two TT Special I have with the flat shoe.
The jewel is a fine trigger as well if properly maintained.
I wish I had deep enough pockets to try them all both two and single stage.

Did you install your Diamond in a factory gun or clone action? I chatted with TriggerTech about the Diamond model and they said it was for clone actions only. It might not be safe for a factory rifle at the low end of pull and there is no bolt release.

It’s in an impact action....go
Get one of those as well lol
