So I bought a cheapo Remington 700 ADL from Academy. I also bought a take off SPS tactical barrel. I bought a barrel vise, action wrench, recoil lug alignment tool, go gauge, and no go gauge. I Got the old barrel off and the new barrel on, recoil lug all lined up and the new stock on. I tried the go gauge and the bolt closed. Tried the no go gauge and the bolt wont close. I was wondering if there was anything else I needed to do before test firing the gun. I'm used to building ar-15 rifles and not having to deal with all of this stuff. I'm just worried about the gun blowing up in my face. This seemed to easy. I figured I would have had to ream the chamber or something else. I guess I just got lucky and the chamber depth was the same. All off the research I have done sound sounds like there is nothing else to do. I just wanted to double check with someone who knew more about this than me. Thanks!
