I was wondering if anyone has fired or has had the REMINGTON 700 TACT 5R 300 WIN MG BLK model # 85541. I can't seem to find any reviews online on this rifle. I ordered this gun through my dealer here in TN but I wanted to know if this rifle is worth getting. Thanks guys

I have seen them come with a 26" barrel and a 20" they look good and I like the fluted barrel, but I have never used one so I can' say but If its like the other 5R guns I would think it would be just fine

I ordered that gun in a .308 with only the model number in hand.It came from the factory black cerakoted with a fluted barrel. The barrel was 24". I wanted a black 5r and i couldnt find a picture of one, just a model number with a generic description. The descriptions varied between saying the barrel was 20" or 24". Like i said, when i recieved it the barrel was 24". I called remenington and they said these rifles were ordered by Accusport with fluted barrels and cerakoted. I would think its safe to assume your rifle will be cerakoted, 24-26" barrel with flutes

Any updated or pics. These are all over online with terrible and conflicting descriptions. 20-24-26 barrels and different stock options. Does it have the HS stock or ????? Is it like the LTR but a mag? I am really intrested but scared to order with out a real picture or review.

I decided to just get it after much hesitation. I have not gone to the range with it yet. Mine came in a 26 inch fluted black cerakoted bull barrel. The action seems to be pretty solid and smooth. I am not sure which exact stock it is but the dealer said it was a McMillan stock. Can't remember the exact stock he said it was. So far I really like it seems solidly built. I will post some pictures soon.

I got the .308 version and am very happy with it.

This is right out of the box. I have a question....my barrel does not sit symmetrically on the stock and was wondering if that's a problem? If you see closely at the picture you can see the gap on the right side is slightly greater than the left.

I found one on the shelf and purchased it. Only thing I've shot through it so far is 178gr A-max and they are 1moa. Since I've installed jewel trigger but have yet to do any load development. Should get to in the next couple of weeks. I'm happy with the gun so far just takes a little getting used to lugging it around after using my 20" .308 for so long.

Thanks. I found a deal on one and couldn't pass it up. Once I get it I'll be developing a load with some 178 Amax and varget.
