Remington MDT Tac21 vs. Ruger RPR 338 Lapua vs. Remington 700 AIAX Chassis

I am considering getting into the 338 laupa arena and am looking at the above listed riles. I also came across a 700 Remington action in the Accuracy International AX chassis. Wondering what the pitfalls would be and if anyone can provide some guidance. I have a Burris XTR II 5x25, sitting around, that I would put on top of it. Are these listed guns worth it? Would I be better off building something or will these get the job done. What are these guns capable of shooting with me doing my part? Will only be a steel and paper shooter for long distance for the hobbiest.

I know these are "starter" rifles compared to what is out there.... any opinions at all?

Anyone have any experience with the Remington 700 in .338 Lapua? I am thinking of truing the action and putting a new barrel on it. Any thoughts or recommendations?

Any idea of the factory accuracy? Trying to get as accurate as possible.... I'm not a huge fan of the recoil on the 338 which is substantially reduced by a heavier gun and a good muzzle brake. Just making sure I only buy one.....not one and then sell and one more.....which is easy to do with firearms.....

There is a newer savage stealth evolution 338 lapua, complete package under $2k. Just add glass.
