Remington MSR

Re: Remington MSR

does anybody have a solid, legitimate, real, true, accurate price on this sucker???? sweet jesus there are two people here posting with them and both have forgotten to include the price. is this a tactic to keep us on our toes? mere speculation is killllling me. a deployment is upcoming and is going to generate a pretty penny. what better way to treat yourself than to buy a sweet rig.

Re: Remington MSR

Considering the retrofit price for the M24 to M24E1 using this stock and a barrel divides out to $7,833.33 per unit I wouldn't be surprised if it came out at $10,000 for the MSR.

Re: Remington MSR

If they are thinking $10k for this thing they are smoking CRACK.....

What Im interested in is more info on the action....is this a ripped off Savage?

Is the action going to have the same footprint as the R700, is it going to take the same bases? The same Triggers?

Where is the Recoil lug? Is it permanently attached/Milled to the action?

I wonder if we will be able to get a real barrel maker to build a barrel for these actions....

I would love to be able to combine a savage and a Remington....This (to me) looks like someone had the same idea...

Re: Remington MSR

I'm waiting for a call-back from an LE dealer on the MSR, but I'm very scared to hear what it will cost. I suspect that it's probably going to freak me out horrifically. I WANT this rifle, but whether or not I can AFFORD it is a different story. When I hear back I'll let you guys know. I should know by tomorrow.

Guess you didn't hear back? They just changed their website recently and now have the link for contact about the rifle. At least, I wasn't able to find that info on the old page...

Re: Remington MSR

the military XM2010 weapon systems contract is a step in the right direction.... the contract does not include the most innovative MSR feature, field swappable barrels across calibers.

when is Remington going to 'catch up' with DTA, Nemesis Arms, and Barrett by
selling next-generation designs to the public?

Re: Remington MSR

The picture you posted has a PR scope. While Forty-One has a S&B, I doubt the validity of your post.

Magic647
Thanks for your inquiry, I just replied to your PM.

Please take a look at the web site and you will find the price structure on the Strike Series Chassis. We are offering the members of the Snipershide a savings of over $300 bringing the chassis from the MSRP of $2500 to a SNIPERSHIDE Special Price Promotional of $2199.

Considering also that this is a GEN 2 chassis over what the Army is currently purchasing (GEN 1) unit and a M24E ESR is over $9000 in price and unavailable to the public, here is a great chance to get into a next generation chassis.

Please feel free to email me or reach out to me direct.
Thanks again
