Alright guys and girls here in lyes the question.

Can you use the safety off the new x-pro and use it on a old style factory remy or shieln trigger.

I have the triggers but dont want to mess w/ it if you can do it. And is it a pain in the ass to do?????

Ok I get the new vs old remy trigger.. cant use the saftey.

But what about on the shilen trigger can I use it for that? Or should I just buy a new trigger with the saftey??????

Re: Remington old rigger vs- new x- pro

i had a question about this myself: I recently got a remington 700 SPS (.308) and the trigger pull is quite hefty, easily at 4-5lbs. I want it down to 2lbs and definitely don't feel confident enough to do the work myself despite the numerous internet tutorials. What is a fair price a gunsmith should be charging for doing this adjustment??

Hey Spiegel I had the same issue. Really its simple there is one allan screw on the front of the trigger. I just did mine the other night. Never messed with the trigger thing prior..its simple had it done and the gun back together in half hour. Just google Remington x-pro trigger adjustment and it will come up. I found it to be a great help. Just make sure to test it porperly for slam firing, bounce it off the ground a few times, take a rubber mallet bang round the action.
