Range Report Remington R-25..

Sorry if this has been posted, but does anyone have one of these rifles- and if so, was there a range report? I am interested in picking one up in .243 and would like to know how it would compare to a nice bolt gun in the same caliber for hunting and weekend target matches.

I have one in 308. It is ok. I always wanted an AR and picked up this one. I decided to sell it as I prefer to shoot a bolt action and get just as much shooting my 10/22T as I do the AR. I might keep it if I could go shoot coyote with it but it is a restricted rifle here and I can only take it to the range.

It shoots well but I had issues with it not feeding all types of ammo. I repaired that and now it will feed any type of ammo. If it was between this and a decent bolt action, for the price I would go with the bolt.

DPMS builds this rifle but for what it worth I would never buy it even though I am a huge DPMS fan. The trigger is poor and worthless, feeding issues. If you want a good gun just buy the DPMS rifles and skip the remington destroyer of the LR-308.
