I am a new owner of an AT-X. The barrel is super easy to remove and install and I hear that it can be done without changing POI. I have not tested it enough myself to know for sure as I just fired my break in rounds today. Do people remove the barrel to clean it and reinstall with confidence in POI or is it not that repeatable? I can clean it either way but out of the rifle would be much easier.

I have two barrels that I rotate with my AT-X. It's great, I pull a barrel and thoroughly clean it while prepping brass while I shoot the other barrel and cartridge. Return to zero after removal of a barrel is almost always within 1 MOA of where it was before.

I usually remove my barrels to clean because it is so easy.

It benefits here to have an optic that is easy to re-zero...or you can note the cartridge offset...but I've found it less mentally painful to re-zero while I foul the cleaned barrel in with a couple rounds.
