Gunsmithing Removing loctite? residue.

What's best to remove this crud?
I've used Flitz before, but it polishes the surrounding stainless and leaves it brighter than the rest of the barrel.

Re: Removing loctite? residue.

If its locktite, you could allways call them and ask them what chemical to use they should know, and hell they might even sell thier own chemical to remove it. Id try that first.

I'll give that a shot.

KY,
That did the trick!
I hit it with a little butane torch and a copper cleaning brush.
Cleaned it up with some Hoppes #9.

Thanks a bunch!

Good idea also.
