I just bought a lrp-07H and it comes with a jam nutted brake. I've never dealt with one of these. It should be threaded underneath with the 5/8x24 pattern still right?

Do I have to do anything special to be able to take it off and then install a thunderbeast brake onto it, so I can use my 338ba suppressor?

I don't know if JP applies Loctite to the threads on their brakes (I know the directions they supply with their brakes says to), so you may want to heat the nut to burn off the Loctite first.

Well, just for anybody thats doing search online later. I called JP and found my answer.

The instructions are simply to unscrew the jam nut back and then unscrew the brake. It should all come apart easy, because they don't put anything on the threads other than possibly some blue loctite.

While typing this, I realized I have one question left unanswered. Do I have to use the jam nut to install my thunderbeast brake now or not? Im assuming no..?
