Madison, Ms
I just left the range a very happy man. I have a SS 5r .300 win mag dropped in an AICS with a Bushnell XRS. I've been shooting the 215's a while now and the continue to impress. I was shooting spray paint cans the other day at 500 yards. It's a VERY ACCURATE load. 76.9 h1000 , RP brass, 2.953 to ogive(3.715 coal). Was shooting at 970 yards today and it was shooting GOOD. 6.7 mils with a 100 yars zero was dead on. Right at 290 fps. My groups were a great. No vertical stringing at all. Just a few of them a few inches right or left due to changing winds. It's about an 1850 yard load. If I do ever go to a mile, I think I will run these. Good shooting , AS

I believe you had a pic of your rig on another thread, Do you have an updated pic with the new aics stock? I have similar rifle, 300wm sendaro and I am getting close to a new barrel and was thinking of upgrading to a ai ax stock.

very nice collection thanks for putting up the pics. Did the heavier aics stock have a noticeable difference in recoil? How is the glass in comparison to the NF?

Thanks. On recoil , yeah it dulled it down some , but I eventually put a Thruster on and it DOES NOT KICK.
The glass is incredible. While I love my NF's, I REALLY LOVE the XRS. I'm a hunter so light transmission is important to me. So I usually use Zeiss for that. The XRS beats the Zeiss. I'm very impressed with it

Nice! Are you shooting at a range in Meridian or private land?

I've got a 540 yard range that my buddy and I built right outside of Meridian in Daleville. Hunt there and shoot there also. All my land is 25 miles north of canton ms off the Natchez Trace. So its nice to somewhere close. What's fun is to climb up the bluff (backstop) and hunt. The shooting range is a HUGE clover field and you can pop em about 575 yards. I got one at 552 last year.
Here's a pic.

I noticed your in law enforcement. My buddy's brother Pat is as well. His name is Pat Daily and my buddy's name is Chris Daily. Wondering if you know them???

That's a beautiful place to spend the day hunting or shooting. Can't say that I have ever run across them.

BTW, any good 'smiths up that way?

My best friends dad is a GREAT smith. He doesn't run a business or anything but he built my last .308 match gun and it shoots as good as my old GA Crusader did.

Thanks again for the pics and info. That looks like a great place to shoot. I go to a place called youngs longshot. For pics go to youngslongshot.com. its about 3 hours from me, has lots of steel out to 1000 yds. I ordered my broughton barrel the other day didn't go as long as yours im going to finish at 28 in. I didn't want to buy another case. I keep looking on here for a aics LA stock but they go quickly. Did you do any bedding work with that stock or just bolt it in?
