I would suggest you try a brake rather than messing with the buffer. I had good luck with a Surefire.

I am using a FSC30, is there a better brake for this beast?

I have 3 A3's and run them on Full Auto.
Mine have never seized up, but they all will not come apart to clean.
They all had to go back to LWRC to get them apart.
The gas regulator cup or what ever you want to call it was stuck and not matter how hard I beat on it, it wouldn't budge.
