Gunsmithing Rethread M30 tenon to M27?

I have a couple ACMC barrels in short action calibers that I was going to sell, but got to wondering if I can just have the tenons recut from M30 to M27 so I can use them on my AT.

I’ve searched around the interwebs a bunch and can’t figure out whether the M30 threads on the AXMC tenons are too deep to turn down and rethread to M27.

I guess the logical next question is whether the headspacing would be screwed up.

Both barrels are AI factory barrels that I wouldn’t mind keeping if I can make it work.

Looking at the tread specs, the minimum inside diameter on the m30 thread is about .030” bigger than the maximum outside diameter of the m27 thread. So theoretically yes, but realistically it might be another story.

I've done several times for people as well as recycling barrels that for what ever reason did make it past QC.
