Rifle Scopes Reticle help! H59 vs. TReMor reticle

I have decided to make a change in my scopes. I have two NightForce 5.5-22x56 in MOAR reticle. I wanted to know what you guys think of the H59 reticle or the new TReMor reticle? I am going to eliminate two scopes and just pull the trigger on the BEAST. Any experience with these two different reticles?

Just pre-ordered the BEAST about an hr ago with the H59. The guys who developed both reticles say the Tremor is more intuitive, but my understanding is the wind dots no longer accurately correspond to their "values" if I dial AND hold, so it was the H59 for me.

I am currently using both and can't really say I actually prefer one over the other. I have the TR-2 on a 22-250 AI varmint rifle that the wind dots happen to work out to 3 mph per dot and it works very well. I had an H58 in the scope prior to the TR-2 and had no problems whatsoever. However, I do prefer the fact that if I know wind speed and have my dope memorized I only need an accurate range and I've eliminated the need of referencing a dope chart for corrections, both elevation or windage.

That rifle can get to over 1K without getting near 10 mil so dialing is not desired or needed. For cartridges requiring a lot of correction it may not work out as well.

For dialing AND holding I would definitely recommend the 59.

That is my understanding as well. I know the formula and dots work on the TR-2... but I just can't decide which one. thanks for the reply

Exactly, the wind dots work off of the Accuracy 1st Wind Formula, which is a pretty simple formula and one I use. I like the T-2, just personally prefer the knowledge that my mils are ALWAYS mils on the FFP even if I dial. I went FFP because I can't work the conversion on a SFP, so the fewer things I personally have to work out in my head before pressing a trigger the better. I know guys that can do all the math intuitively, I'm just not one of them. I don't think there's a "wrong" choice, just what you think is going to work better for you. Either way, I'm REALLY hoping the BEAST is as nice as I'm anticipating. Best of luck on yours whichever way you go on it.

I have played with the BEAST and I am a believer! I did hear from some guys in SWAT and Military and they swear by the BEAST!

My HDMR has the Tremor2. I like the Tremor2, and though my yet-to-be-received Mark 8 will have the H58, the Tremor2 is supposed to be available later on. I will make the switch then. I like the full cross hair, and all the different lines representing specific mil dimensions. It is also excellent for range estimation, with very clear .1 increments.

Out of the H59 or the TREMOR2 I would got with the TREMOR2.

The 37 will give you 12.2 mil of holdover on 25x so that may be something to consider over the 8.2 offered by the TReMoR-2. If you intend to dial for correction at that distance it could be a toss up and pretty much come down to personal preference.

Personally, I'm running a TReMoR-2 in a 5-25 on my 338. I like the finer reticle plus it just works perfectly.

I have 2 H59s and 2 Tremor 2 scopes on various rifles. I thinks it's a matter of preference. On my long range rigs at over 800y I prefer the S&B H 59. On my Scar heavy and JP .308 I like the tremor 2 (Leupy Mk6) for its speed in the wind. I figure for the long shots I have a bit more time to figure out the wind. YMMV. I too vascillated between the H59 and Tremor 2 and ended up getting 2 of each.
