A lot of interest has gone to the new Tangent Theta Gen 3XR reticle, but I just realized Revic has a "new" reticle as well, I'm not so sure how new it is but for the longest time they've only had the MOA option, and now they have the RX1 MIL reticle for their Mil based version of the PMR 428. If I was considering PRS and other competition style shooting where weight would not be much of a hindrance I would have to give serious consideration to the Revic. Some might think the RX1 might be too busy but it's certainly not Horus busy and I'd be curious what those with the reticle think in real world, I thought the Vortex EBR-7 reticle was going to be too busy but in real world it actually looks quite nice and I'm thinking the RX1 may follow suit.

What an interesting reticle. My brain says “cool!” for half of it, and “wtf?” for the other half.
I hear ya Dave, definitely an interesting design. I wonder how much of the top grid is cutoff by the HUD through the scope.

Does anyone have the RX1 reticle and could you send us a through the scope image with the HUD on...

Definitely one of those I’d have to look through the optic before buying. I can see how it would be too busy and also how a lot of it wouldn’t be noticeable in person.

I think there is quite a bit I personally wouldn’t use in the reticle. But that’s a personal preference.

Wow that is really busy. And I’m curious why Revic needs this cluttered of a reticle when the scope does all the work for you? Why do you need holdovers when every click of the elevation turret shows you your exact POI using the center dot? I can understand a few lines and hash marks but good lord that’s an ugly spiderweb of a view.
    Too much Revic!

So yeah. This reticle has some splaining to do.

Christmas tree? great. Marks 1mil above and one below? Actually good. Let’s me correct minor errors quickly.

Landing runway indicator? I guess if I mount this to my B29 and need for some reason to crater a runway.

Oddly the moa scale isn’t a terrible idea. let’s me spot a little better for the moa crowd.

Secondary aiming point 5 mils down? Why for that, Cletus?

It totally looks like the artificial runway on a HUD

Does Revic have a rep on the Hide? Frank did a review not that long ago but I don't remember anything about this reticle. Since Revic has a HUD maybe they were going for the bomber/fighter experience ;) Be nice if they had a writeup on why they chose what they chose.

My guess is this is their answer to the crowd who don't trust electronics and want more of a Christmas tree reticle as a backup in case the HUD goes down, they still have a usable reticle.

That and they didn’t want to pay royalties to Horus/nightforce to use the tr3mr or H59. If it had an MSR or that new S&B LRR ret I’d be drooling.

Not a fan of this personally, but that's what great about all the scope manufacturers, everyone has their personal preference for what reticle suits their needs. I'm sure they will find someone who might like this.

Kind of reminds me of the Horus H130 hunting reticle, it also has the "runway" x2 for 10 MPH and 20 MPH wind holds (for common hunting cartridges)

I really have to see it in the field, from the prints it seems way too busy and thick, but in actual application it might not be so bad. I thought the same about the EBR-7 but when I got my AMG I was pleasantly surprised with the reticle.

One thing I don't understand what I've seen in many other reticles is the .2 marks everywhere but the vertical line. What's the thought process behind that? Why make everything else .2 but the vertical line? If I'm doing holdovers I would want my holdover itself to be as accurate as my wind call.....

Just a guess, but I imagine Revic anticipates users will dial elevation because of the HUD. Even for misses, just correct up or down with the turret, confirm yardage shift in the hud and pull the trigger.

That would make sense if it wasn't a Christmas tree style reticle. The whole idea behind that is holdovers. Also, they aren't the only ones doing .5 vert and .2 hori on the tree. It's a nitpicking thing but still doesn't make much sense to me.
