Just got my GAP on Wednesday and got to break her in this weekend.
Specs: .260, 24" bartlein fluted 1-8.5 twist, GAP Titan Brake, bedded in AICS, Atlas BT-10,Jewel trigger, Premier 5x25 in Badger rings.
***note the Titan brake just plain works! Recoil and flip was nil. Spotting impacts at 200 was no problem.
I know opinions vary on barrel break in, but I opted to break in as recommended by GAP. Used Black Hills 139 scenars for break in. After 4th shot there was very little copper in the bore. The BH 139's were chronoing 2749 to 2775 on shots 5-10 (group was 1 ragged hole at 100 yds). Cleaned rifle after shot # 10, barrel had very minimal copper fouling (3 patches and it was clean)
Now on to load development. (140 amaxes, new Rem brass,h4350 Fed 210 M). I started with 41 grs with loaded a round with .5 grain increments up to 44 grs). Temp was 92. Elevation 532' Humidity 49%. I started with rounds seated .008 off the lands.
I did not go higher than 44 grs, but there were no pressure signs and velocity was a tad over 2800 fps
42.8 - 43.5 appears to be a sweet spot (velocity at 43 gr was 2749, 2754,2749,2750,2756) as measured 15 ft from the muzzle. Group was excellent @ 100, so I Loaded up 5 more @ 43grs and moved out to 200yds (maximum range I have at my house). First 3 shots in one ragged little hole (this is where shooter excitement derailed the train as I slapped the trigger on the next 2), group was still less than an inch.. at this point I am giggling like a 7 yr old watching Sponge Bob. Rifle is way better than the shooter at this point!
I loaded up 5 rds each @ 42.8 ,43, 43.2,43.4,43.6, 43.8,44 to test @ 600 when time permits.
**** thanks to the GA crew for a fine tool, and thanks to my Hide Brothers for posting info and loads on the .260.... Made my life easier...
Stay tuned more to come.

Thank you sir. It has been quite good to me, putting a smile on my face one squeeze at a time. The 6.5s are a godsend. I'm still looking forward to seeing your pics!

Re: Review of my GAP .260

Congrats man, looking forward to the pics. Remember that my Bartlein took a couple of hundred rounds through it and then using the same powder charge it jumped up almost 100fps. Make sure you redo the Chrono or you might start running at 2900.

10-4. JB. I'm hoping I can get loose for the range day next month. CKA advised me as you did. That the barrell will get faster.

See you on the range....
