Hey guys,
I SHOULD have my standard M1A delivered within 30 days as long as everything on the supplier’s side goes as planned.
I am planning on using it as a precision rig with a 3-10 or 4-14 power scope.
I have looked at the Bassett picatinny mount, which is probably what I will go with if I go with just a standard mount.
Recently I started looking at the VLTOR CASV-14 hand guard/rail system as a good option. I like the part about not having to buy a new hand guard when I switch stocks, and I like the long rail.
My question is how solid is the CASV-14? Basically I just want to make sure I don’t spend the money on it then come to the realization that it won't hold a zero worth a darn.
I scoured the internet and haven't seen a whole lot about the durability of the mount. I have read that it is difficult to mount a scope with anything more than a 40mm objective, true or false?
Any comments on your experience with it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Jeremy
