I have one for my 77/22 that should be done in a month or so, and that is one of the hardest spots to sand, and with the finger groves, wow that had to be hard to get it perfect? and what did you finish with?</div></div>
Finger grooves are nice....custom fit to my fingers!
use the small Dremel sanding drum.....initially I used Birchwood Casey Tru Oil....I didn't like the "wear-ability"....so I re-sanded and ended up with about (30) LIGHT coats of auto-lacquer clear coat from Napa...

Is that the "electric blue" color?
Ive been thinking about getting that color but yours look a little less vivid.
I didnt realise they require so much work... but i guess thats part of the fun when you think about it.
The stocks for my savage 93 says 99% fit... considering you have experience with this, how much overall work do you feel i would have to put in for fitting?
</div></div>
yes..electric blue...99% fit....most of the receiver, and barrel contact inlets should be good to go with minor detailing...I would still expect a lot of "outlet" sanding...

My god man !
Tell me, do you have lots of wood work experience and is it hard to do.
I would be too scared I would ruin it
</div></div>
..not a lot of experience per say on furniture, etc. I have done probably 5 or 6 rifles...

So do they come colored and you have to sand and clear coat? Do you have to worry about sanding any of the colored finish off? 96% is ok. Could be worse.</div></div>
yes..sand and clear coat....the colored finish is through and through on the laminates...I had no issues with losing the color..
