well my next purchase will be a rifle in .338 lapua...was looking at the savage BA 110 although a nice rifle I hear some have had there problems with it...so its got me looking at the barrett 98b and the barrett MRAD...Im a big FN fan and see they will have the ballista out shortley but its getting up there in price....really looking to spend around 5k for rifle..(not including optics) would love to hear what reviews you guys have on the rifles listed or any other sugestions......THanks in advance

TRG 42 is a great out of the box rifle, or you could always do a custom build for that price

Just FYI, the Ballista is going to retail for about 8K so if you were going to go that route you might as well get yourself an AX .338

There are at least a couple of AI AWSM .338 Lapua Mags for sale used here on the Hide at good prices. I have one and they are great rifles, accurate and reliable.

110 isn't a horrible gun. Heavy as all hell though. Muzzle break is good, and mine is more accurate then I am. That said I did have to send it back to Savage to get looked at due to failure to extract issues (Got it back after warranty and haven't had one issue with it)
Plus, for the price compared to some of the others out there...
