I am having a hard time wrapping my head around something. I seem to shoot my best when I pull the rifle rearward into my shoulder. The problem I have is that it seems to cause a lot of tension when I try and do that. If I try and relax more the gun seems to hop and I start to lose my groups. I am using a Harris bi-pod and Crown Royal bag filled with sand for a rear bag. Any suggestions? I know I should sign up for lessons, but that is not in my budget right now. Thanks in advance for the help.

Re: Rifle Movement

hold that thing into your shoulder....thats why it has a buttstock. try to find a balance between a hard hold and forward load on the bi-pod. you will need to have some type of hard hold into your shoulder or you wind up with near free recoil.

Re: Rifle Movement

Try loading the bipod just enough to were the gun stays in your shoulder without your hands on the rifle, you shouldnt really be "pulling" it tight into your shoulder as it induces muscular tension which leads to fatigue and your shooting will go south quick when your body starts straining.
