Been on the site for a couple of years now and never have posted any pictures of my rifles. Sorry about the previous test...never posted any pics on a thread before. So here are a couple of them, enjoy. I get to shoot a lot at 100yd-400yd..but down here in the foothills of the South East you have to hunt hard to find ranges or land to really stretch out….I have been able to shoot the 5R out to 900yds once and occasionally get to go to a range in GA that has 700yd.

Yeah, I was thinkin' the same thing. I wonder if it's easier to manipulate. I know a lot of folks just slap the side and the bolt will close without even touching the release.

That release ever get snagged up? Is it easy to get used to?

Nice rifles. I feel your pain on the lack of longer ranges in SC. There is a 1000 yd. range in Charleston, but that is it. We need one in the middle of the state, near Columbia would be sweet.

Re: Rifle Porn, first successful pics posted.

It looks like a MAGPUL bad lever. They work well it allows for bolt lock/release with the trigger finger too.

Re: Rifle Porn, first successful pics posted.

The lever on the AR is a Magpul B.A.D. lever. It works really well....not sure if it shows in the photo but it curves through the triggerguard so that you can release the bolt with your trigger finger. Believe the cost is around $30 +/- couple of bucks.

There is a 1k range in Chucktown?

I spent 6 months down there and the best thing I could find was begging time off of private land people to about 400yd. Usually I was begrudgingly shooting at Twin Pond in the Francis Marion.

Can you send me a PM to where that range is? I still have some friends down there who would LOVE to get on it.

some do it with JB weld, ....The key to it is using the appropriate release agent to that you don't "weld" the rail to the rifle. My smith bedded mine...not sure which he used, I'll check and let you know.
