Hi guys I am new to the Forum so I should probably introduce myself to start off. I'm from Eastern Pennsylvania 26 years old and have been hunting and shooting all my life. I am looking to set up a 6.5 Creedmoor rifle for Whitetail, varmints, and occasional target shooting. Most shots will be 500 yards or less. I have never done any competitions but I won't rule it out for the future. With that being said I'm attempting to stay around $1,000 for this build with the rifle and scope combined. I'm currently trying to choose a rifle; I have been looking at a Howa 1500, a Savage fcp-sr, Ruger American predator, Weatherby Vanguard (which I realize is a Howa with a different stock.) I am open to any other suggestions and any positive or negative criticism on the rifles I listed. Obviously the less money I spend on the rifle means more I will have for the Optics.
