Hey guys,
I´m looking for a two point rifle sling, where I´m able to hook in my elbow, like the new made but legendary 1907 sling, but a bit more modern type if possible.

Appreciating any infos,
Jay

I’ve got one & it works well for its intended purpose. There are other slings w/ more to offer in regards to positional shooting.

Here’s the info you seek.

Thanks for your infos so far, guys.

Question for those of you, who have experience with it:
Is the loop setting always the same, equal if you shoot standing, kneeling, sitting or prone, or do you have to adjust the loop new for every position?

I just saw, that there are slings where you can adjust the loop quickly, and some where you adjust it fixed.

The "Ching Sling" by Galco, is a nice leather one. Wide and the top so not to cut into you when carrying your rifle. The elbow loop is full adjustable to fit most. If you google "Ruger Gunsite Scout Rifle"
, they talk about this sling. Check it out

Shooting slings are generally made up of two pieces, a front section and a rear section. The front section creates the loop and allows you to adjust it for different positions. You're not technically adjusting the loop for different positions, you're adjusting the length of the front section so you get the right amount of tension. You will have to make adjustments for the different shooting positions and sometimes based on what clothing your are wearing. In my experience, sitting and kneeling positions use generally the same length adjustment. Standing will have me drawing the sling in tighter and prone will have me letting it out the furthest.

Traditional slings like the Turner slings are slower to adjust for different positions. Modern slings like those from TAB Gear, Armageddon Gear, and Rifles Only can adjust quickly and help make minor adjustments easier. My preference is for the Armageddon Gear PRS sling, it combines features of a shooter's sling with something like an AR sling to give me the best of both worlds.

Watched the videos about the Armageddon PRS, its features are really impressive.
It is exactly what I was looking for.

But there is one thing I´m asking me.
Is the sling comfortable enough to carry a precision rifle?
Because it doesn´t seem very wide and it is the bungee section that lays on your shoulder.

Did you ever carry with it in a hunting situation or so?

I used my Magpul sling hunting this year and it was comfy/ no slip in the rain. Having qd mount on the side of a rifle and not the typical bottom let's the rifle lay flat on your back and makes it much more comfortable

I don't have any issues using it to carry a 16-17 lb precision rifle. AG went to a wider, flatter elastic material a couple to few years ago that feels softer to me than my 1st gen sling.

I haven't used it for hunting but if you carry the rifle muzzle up the 1.5" wide webbing should distrubute the weight well.
