Ok, we have opened up some of our fall/winter schedule. It includes a 3 day precision rifle, 2 PR1&2 Combo Courses, a PR3A-Helo, and a few others. More will be added in time but this is a start and I know many of you were asking. Look forward to having some of you new guys/girls down here as well as some repeats.
If you have any questions just let myself or Jacob (Rifles Only) know.

Re: Rifles Only Fall Schedule

I spent the first 30 years of my life trying to get out of California ... there is no way I am going back .... espically with my weapon.

Re: Rifles Only Fall Schedule

Beamer Girl...I'm new to the whole precision rifle game and have never really been taught anything about how to shoot other than some pointers from my dad when I was young (most of which probably wasnt right, hehe). Would you recommend going to your PRI course (the 3 or 5 day?) or maybe the PRI & II combo? I'd really like to maximize my learning at a course but also dont want to be overwhelmed with information and forget some of the things I would learn. I've only shot occationally to 200 yards before and Im not gonna lie...the idea of shooting to 1000 yards by the end of the combo course is somewhat intimidating.

I went the PR 1&2 route a while back. Best time and money I ever spent. They start with the basics, no matter what. Its a great course for the novice or pro.

Listen to this guy - he can shoot!

And I second the PR1&2. Who knows when you'll get a chance to get back to RO. You might as well get as much Rifles Only windy goodness while you can.

Re: Rifles Only Fall Schedule

Well that makes sense to me. Going to one of these classes is just about like taking a vacation so packing in all you can in one course is logical. Guess ill have to save up and find some time

ST:
A PR1 would be a perfect place to start, as long as you have a correct rifle and optic combination to start with. As long as you are willing to listen and practice what you hear, you will be fine. Not battling bad equipment and listening to instruction are the keys to getting the most from RO's PR1.

Re: Rifles Only Fall Schedule

Well I will tell you this. We had a shooter who had never shot a scoped rifle and received his rifle the day he got to the class.

Not only did Frank and Jacob get his rifle up and running although it had problems direct from the builder, but it was an enjoyable experience to see someone in a weeks time going from never having shot a scoped rifle to banging steel at 1K.

Tells you a lot about what RO can do for you if you come prepared to learn.

A comment like this speaks volumes. Why would you not go after a recommendation such as this? Guess I better start clearing my fall schedule.

Re: Rifles Only Fall Schedule

I attended the pr1&2 course and will give it 3 thumbs up. This is a no shit assesment of your skills and building them with the help and instruction of top class shooters. There are not to many places or instructors who can in a matter of days cover and have you shooting various distances, movers up to 400 yards, and running a competition at the end. This is more than a precision rifles class. This is a fighting with your precision rifle class.

Re: Rifles Only Fall Schedule

I thought I knew how to shoot a pistol. I qualified for two IPSC world championships before I realized that I didn't know how to shoot a pistol.

I thought I knew how to ride a motorcycle. Then I started racing and I realized that I didn't know how to ride a motorcycle.

I thought I knew how to fly an airplane. Then I started aerobatics and realized that I didn't know how to fly an airplane.

I thought I knew how to shoot a rifle. Then I went to Rifles Only and realized that I didn't know how to shoot a rifle.

I could go on, but you get the idea: It's worth the trip.

Re: Rifles Only Fall Schedule

I'll be attending the 5 day course in Cali and driving my wife crazy talking about it. Wondering if anyone knows if camping is allowed at the range? Trying to save some green (500-600 bucks for a room) and I would much rather spend that on equipment if possible. If not, oh well I'm still there.
