Mike is out in TX at Rifles Only with Todd Powers of Phantom Finishing. He sent me some pics to share. Even though it's been a rainy week Mike says it's been really beneficial...

No, it was - and is - really, <span style="font-style: italic">really</span> wet. I went over yesterday to fix a problem with the mover, and I had to put my pickup in 4WD just to get to the short range. And it's still raining as I write this. The county is currently under a flash flood warning.

Eldest daughter is in Europe on business, where the planes are not flying because of the volcano in Iceland.

After we sat out a thunderstorm with marble size hail while hiking, just below a 12,000 foot pass in Colorado, my wife said, "You know, sometimes you're having a great time, and sometimes you get a good story."

It has been an awesome week, even with all the crazy weather.

The course was held to a high standard of professionalism and was very educating even for the most experienced shooters. The rain was annoying but a great stress factor which increased the training factor. Frank and Jacob are great instructors never boasting an ego that so many other course instructors do. The classmates were top notch always willing to lend a hand to anyone that needed it. I know I'll be back.

That was after that had already run from the bunkhouse to the tower and back to the Carbine Pit... so they were a little winded, hence Todd holding his breath until he turned purple most of the time.

All that was missing is incoming enemy fire and hand grenades! That looked awesome and you have to be in decent shape to even make it through the drill I bet. Nice vids.

+1 on the need to be in decent shape, especially if focusing on time. It's uphill to and from the tower somehow, I think it's the Coriolis Effect.
