Rifle Scopes Ring Height for S&B 5-25?

Yes, I've already checked the "Ring Height info" thread, but I can't measure anything because I don't have either the S&B or the action (Surgeon 591) in my possession (both will be here in about a week or so) to measure, and I want to have the rings ready when they arrive.

I've been looking at the Badger low rings, but I'm not sure if they'll be high enough for the 56mm objective. Anyone have any experience with the S&B 5-25?

Here's that scope on a 591 in 34MM Badger 1" rings. The barrel is a Krieger MTU. About 1/8" clearence(shank).

Cool, that's going to be exactly my setup. Krieger MTU fluted. Not going to be a twisted flute like that, but same difference.

What do you guys think, the MAX 50's overkill or what? It's only a .308, but I figure it couldn't hurt.

Ive used the max 50's on my Premiers but not my S&B's for this reason, If your going to use a clamp-on level forward of the rear ring, the max 50 is a little wide. I use the M40a3 ring set for this reason.
