Pulling together a .338 Lapua using a Remington action, AI 1.5 Stock with Badger 20mm base and a S&B 5-25x56 scope, will the 34mm Badger 1.0 height rings be high enough to clear the barrell--M24 taper?

Yes they will work fine. Here's the same taper barrel, with a Badger 20 MOA base, Badger 1" height rings and a S&B 5-25x56. Only difference is it's on a short action .308 but I have put the same scope and rings on my 300WM and it fits fine as well.
