Like the title says, looking for suggestions for rings for a KAC mod 1 and vortex pst 1-4. Leaning towards Larue qd, but which one and what height.
Thanks

Not a ton of love for ML on here, but I have never had an issue or a failure to return to zero on any of the Larue mounts I have ever used.

Another +1 for the KAC mount if you don't need to remove it frequently. Nightforce makes a nice 1 piece mount as well.

If you're set on a QD/throwlever mount, LaRue and ADM both make nice stuff.

I've got products from all of those mentioned above, but I really like my KAC mount.

I have the vortex 2" cant offset mount for my vortex pst 1-4 with capped turrets on my 3gun set up. I want to say I paid $80 bucks from opticsplanet? Is is an "OK" mount and gets the job done. I'm pretty much to the point where I don't care if I have QD mounts anymore as I never remove them. My set up is rather accurate at 100yards for a 1-4 power scope with the cheaper vortex cant mount!

I have quite a few Larue QD mounts and I've been happy with them. A big question on mount selection is how you shoot. I shoot nose to charging handle (NTCH). The Vortex has ~4" of eye relief and with a NTCH shooting position I would recommend an extended mount such as the Larue SPR-E, ADM Recon-X or Bobro extended mount. Of the three designs I believe the Bobro is the best. I like my Larue's, but Andrew did a great job on the Bobro QD system.

FWIW, the Vortex QD mounts and the Noveske QD mounts are ADM mounts. The Trijicon and SWFA QD mounts are Bobro. SWFA had the Bobro extended mount for $209 the last time I checked.

+1 for the Larue QD. I took my scope off a few weeks ago, put it back on a couple days ago and the zero only moved 1".

If your zero moved an inch when it was re-installed then either you did the re-installation wrong or you have a bad mount. Remember that QD mounts should always be pushed forward so the recoil lugs make contact with the rail, then close the QD levers. I would double check the RTZ capability of your mount and if it is off that much I would call Larue for a replacement.
