i just ordered a cz455 varmint. i stopped over to dip and ordered their 25 moa base, aluminum magwell, and extended mag release as well. i'm leaning towards a SS 10x42 (when they become available).

what rings should i get?

i have seekins rings on my 700 and really like them. i thought about another set. or perhaps go with something else on the 700 and move the seekins to the .22. or something totally different.

what do you suggest?

Re: rings for a cz455 ?

I'd recommend picatinny base rings in medium height. You want make sure the bolt handle clears the eye box. Lots of choices available.

Price range and style, would narrow down the choices. I have used the Leupold QRW and Weaver tip off rings on my CZ452 with good results.

I have been using weaver fully adjustable rings on mine with great results. I dial the scope down to my desired level so I have enough adjustment range left and then zero with the rings.
Works like butter.

Myself, I just used the SWFA picatinny rings (in Low). No issues with clearance.

For the price, they seem entirely adequate to the task, as recoil is non-existent. I think they were ~$40.
