I used to watch it with my grandfather when I believe Marlin Perkins was the host.

Amazing that he made it to 89 after all of the shit marlin had him do. Even as a kid i always thought perkins was the smart one and jim the dumb one. Rip jim.

Damn. I remember Marlin "allowing" Jim to handle the lion cub... RIP Jim Fowler; you unknowingly provided much support for a good many people that have spent their lives involved in the out-of-doors.

Met him a couple of times, seemed like a decent guy. He was from Albany, GA and went to high school with one of my mentors.
